Aida Rivera

Aida Rivera, born September 28, 1928 in New York, was surrounded by her family as she peacefully passed away on February 24, 2017 in Tampa, Fl. She is predeceased by her loving and caring husband of 47 years, Oswaldo Rivera. She is survived by her three children, Louis (m. Isabel), Lydia (m. William Lefchuck), and Daniel, as well as her five grandchildren, Jaclyn, William II., Christopher, Matthew, and Keith. The oldest daughter of Maria and Daniel Mercado, Aida has joined her youngest siblings, Daniel and Mary, in heaven and will be a guiding light for her surviving siblings, Lydia and Louis. Adopted at birth, Aida was fortunate enough to meet and forge a relationship with her biological father, Alex, in the 1970s and was instantly welcomed by her new siblings, Johnny, Bobby, Alex, and Peggy.Admired for her kindness, wisdom, unyielding generosity, delicious cooking, infectious spirit, and contagious laughter, she will be sorely missed and remembered forever. Her family is grateful to have had their time with her and are delighted knowing that she is dancing her way through the pearly gates due to her unwavering Catholic faith.
