Carmele Lambeth Andrews, 93, Clearwater, died September 20, 2017 at her home. She was born in High Point, North Carolina and graduated Women's College (part of the University of North Carolina) in 1944. She was a teacher of American History and after moving to Miami in the mid 1950's, she taught 6 - 9 grade levels in Civics, government, and history.
Carmele earned her Master's of Arts Degree in 1978. She then used this further education working in the field of library science. She was over three departments at North Miami Senior High. Following retirement, she continued teaching English as a second language to adult evening classes. Carmele was always active in her walk as a Christian, sharing of herself at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church and Northwood Presbyterian Church, Clearwater. The love of her life was her late husband L. A. Andrews of Greensboro, North Carolina. She was blessed with two Daughters: Jeanette Holloway, Oldsmar, and Susan Boundy, Miami Shores, Step-children: Sarah Murray, Pam Barham, and L. A. Andrews, III , all of North Carolina and Charlotte Lewis , California. Grandchildren Cynthia Mitchell, Amy Robinson, and Victoria Hanlon, all of Florida, and Alden Fike, Oregon. Great Grandchildren: Lee and Evelyn Mitchell and Anthony and Lilly Robinson all of Florida. Sister Nancy Spiers, Florida, and Brother Clay Lambeth, North Carolina. Memorial Services will be 11 AM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 2875 State Road 580, Clearwater 33761.
