Dace Reinauer

Dace Reinauer, age 80, of Odessa, FL passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 after a brief illness.  Dace was born August 28, 1937 in Riga, Latvia and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1951. Dace was heralded as the one hundred and fifty thousandth displaced person to come to the United States following World War l l . That honor included a visit with President Truman in the White House.  Dace went on to earn her Law Degree from the University of Buffalo, was admitted to the New York Bar in 1961, and served as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of New York for many years. In recognition of her passing, Reinauer Transportation ordered all company and fleet wide flags lowered on all of their 80 plus vessels.  Dace is survived by her brother, Juris George Epermanis of Odessa and wife Ausma, her nephew, Peter B. Epermanis of Winston Salem, NC, and niece, Karen Epermanis of Boone, NC, along with numerous grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold A. Reinauer and her parents Bernhard and Malda Epermanis.  The family asks friends to join in a brief remembrance ceremony Saturday afternoon, a 2:00PM, at Holloway Funeral Home, Oldsmar, FL.
