Francis Green

Francis "Frank" A. Green 92, of Clearwater, Florida passed peacefully under hospice care on Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to the parents of Leo and Margaret (Doane) Green. He served his country during World War II as part of the Asian Mid East European Theater. In his time of service he was given three medals; the Victory Star, the Good Conduct Medal and the Army WWII Bronze Star Recipient. Frank enjoyed golfing, bowling, going dancing with the love of his life, Lily, and spending time with friends and family. Frank is survived by his two children; Christopher Green of Mahwah, New Jersey and Peggy and (Frank) Loprano of Branchburg, New Jersey and three grandchildren; Adora Acevedo, Ryan Field and Heather Loprano. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Lily and daughter Clare in 2011. Services will be Tuesday at 11:30 am at Holloway Funeral Home with visitation 2 hours before. Internment will be in the Sarasota National Cemetery at 2:30 pm at Sarastora, Florida.
