Julia Argentina Castellanos

PLEASE SEE ENGLISH TRANSLATION BELOW

Julia Argentina Castellanos was born on September 10, 1950. She met the love of her life, Job Ottoniel Castellanos, at age 15. They married and had their first child together, Job. Then when Julia was 20, they decided to move to America for a better life. They lived in New Jersey and had their children, Xenia, Larry, Jacob and finally, Jeff. They then moved to Florida in 1990. Julia was a hard worker; always very helpful to her family and friends. She had a big heart and was always smiling. She loved parties, dancing and cooking. Julia loved flowers, gardening, and planting fruits and vegetables. There wasn't a seed she planted that didn't grow. She loved being with her family and always wanted them to be united.

But more importantly was her relationship with Jehovah God. Julia had wanted to know who God was and one day a Jehovah's Witness knocked on her door at the apartment where they lived in New Jersey. When she didn't answer, the Witness started leaving a tract in the door when Julia suddenly opened the door. Julia heard her presentation; she knew it was the truth and began to study. Julia dedicated her life to the true God, Jehovah, and was baptized on August 4, 1976. Because of her good example and love, her husband, Otto, as she called him, also was baptized. They served Jehovah together and raised their children in the truth. It is a precious spiritual heritage that she gave her entire family, including her children, her mother, her mother-in-law, her sisters and many families that came to know Jehovah through her. Julia served as a full time minister for more than 10 years and attended a special pioneer school three times. She loved to talk about her Heavenly Father and was a great teacher of the Bible.

Jehovah God never forgets his servants and all they do for Him. Julia knew that her God, Jehovah, will fulfill his promise to resurrect the dead. That faith is what gave her strength in her last days, and seeing her faith be so strong, is what has given strength to her beloved husband and children. We hope to see her soon in paradise with a healthy body and with that big smile. (John 5:28, 29a)

Julia leaves her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Otto, their children, Nelson, Job (Coraly), Xenia (Samuel), Larry (Suzette), Jacob and Jeff, 7 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Ramona, Amparo, Elizabeth, and her brother, Reinaldo, and many, many nieces and nephews. All will miss her from the depths of their hearts.
