Lois Virginia Cornillaud

October 26, 1921 ~ March 31, 2016 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Lois Virginia Hill Cornillaud, 94 of Clearwater passed away peacefully on March 31st 2016.  She was surrounded by her loving family.  Lois was born October 26th 1921, in Brinsmade, North Dakota, to Charles and Mabel Hill.  The family later moved to Bismarck, North Dakota when Lois was a young girl.

In 1940 at the age of 19, Lois married Fred M. Cornillaud Jr. in Dearborn, Michigan. Lois and “Bill” had five children.  Lois was a wonderful mother, a skilled homemaker and loving wife. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking as well as sewing, painting china and collecting antiques.  In 1955 Lois and Bill moved their family to West Palm Beach, Florida, and then in 1972 continued on to Vero Beach. In 1976 Lois became a grandmother with the birth of the first of ten eventual grand children. Lois was well known as a loving and affectionate grandmother who was close with her family. In 1980 Husband Bill passed on, making Lois the matriarch of the family.

In 1989 Lois followed her son Larry and daughter Laura and their families to Clearwater Florida where she became the president of the homeowners association at Rothmore Estates.  In 2006 she became a great grandmother with the birth of Ava Cornillaud the first of 2 eventual great grand children.  We will forever miss Lois’ warmth, love for her family, and quick witted and humor.  

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Phylis Pulfer, her two brothers Howard, and Douglas Hill, and her son Larry Cornillaud.  She is survived by her four daughters Barbara Kennedy (Tyrone), Laura (James) Goodman, Cindy Eisaman, and Tammy Preston (Thomas).  Daughter-in law Elaine, as well as her ten grand children: Jason, Kelly, Laura Beth, Scott, Meagan, Brandon, Lloyd, Nicholas, Matthew and Michael and two great grand children Ava and Abbie
