Richard A. Sarafian

Richard Sarafian, 74 of Safety Harbor, passed away November 27, 2016. He was born in Woonsocket, RI, and grew up in the Boston area.  Richard was a Navy veteran and served on the USS Higbee and USS Topeka.  He was an architectural draftsman doing hospital, school and home drawings in the Tampa Bay area for many years. Working with wood was his joy, creating details for his home, making furniture and carving.  He enjoyed being with his friends, playing chess, reading, music and travel.

He is predeceased by a daughter Dona, and a sister Judy. He is survived by Carole his wife of 53 years, daughter Diane Ellis and his sister Janice. 

 At Richard's request there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to a charity near and dear to his heart, Sheriff's Youth Ranch, Shriner's Children's Hospital, an animal shelter, or Hospice.

The family gives heartfelt thanks to all our friends and neighbors for their prayers and, acts of kindness.
