Scott A. McKenzie

Scott Alexander McKenzie " The Dog "  , 54 of Odessa passed away May 8, 2016, after battling a painful year of Pancreatic Cancer.  He passed away at home surrounded by his family and friends.  Scott was born in Marion, Indiana to the late William and Patricia McKenzie.  He is survived by his wife, Heather Vaughn, and 2 children Jasmine and Jordan.  He is also survived by his sister, Dawn Hanna Bell, her husband, Mark Bell, Nephew; David Hanna, Great Nephew; Connor Hanna, and Aunt; Donna Williams, all of Michigan.  Scott was raised with horses and his deep love kept him involved with them his whole life.  He not only trained them, but enjoyed riding them and continued to do so until the very end.  He has passed his love and knowledge of riding onto his daughter, Jasmine.    He also enjoyed spending time on the Ocean with his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at his in-laws, Larry and Diane Vaughn's, horse farm from 1-5 pm.  

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lifepath Hospice will be appreciated.
