Jane Bohr “Miss Jane” was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on February 22, 1935 and passed away peacefully in Oldsmar, Florida on January 28, 2024.
Jane was a Registered Nurse who completed her residency in South Hampton Hospital Long Island, New York.
She worked high risk pregnancy and post-partum for close to forty years. She was a published teaching nurse and worked in long stints with Mease and Tampa General Hospitals.
Jane was very active in her community and was named Volunteer of the Year and Citizen of the Year in Oldsmar, Florida. Her civic duties included a twenty-year stretch of service to the Oldsmar Board of Appeals and Adjustments. Jane was involved in the Historical Society, The Womens Club, the Oldsmar Chamber of Commerce and was an early founder and volunteer with Oldsmar Cares. Jane was a member of the United Methodist Community Church and often served as a “team mom,” for her children’s sports, and was affectionately known as “Miss Jane” by the members at the North Bay Moose Lodge in Oldsmar.
Jane was Married to Don Bohr who passed away in 2006. Jane is survived by her two adult children Catherine Dicks of Lake City, Florida and Chris Bohr of Oldsmar, Florida and her four grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Community United Methodist Church of Oldsmar on Friday February 9th at 3pm, the public is invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Friends of the Oldsmar Library.
