Carol Linda Sullivan

Carol Linda Sullivan (nee Straub) 67 passed away suddenly at her daughter’s home in Tampa, FL on Sunday March 19. She fought breast cancer for several years, but never let the disease win. She was born and raised in Newark, NJ, resided in East Hanover, NJ for the majority of her adult life.  She received her Masters of Letters degree from Drew University and spent over 20 years nurturing and educating young children at Drew University’s Child Development Center and before that at St. Rose of Lima.  She loved children and was blessed to spend her final months living with one of her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Brendan; three children, Erin Gray, son-in-law Richard Bryson Gray, Shana Sachs and Benjamin Sullivan; her three grandchildren, Joshua Sachs, Jonathan Gray and Meghan Gray; her sister Joan Lewis; brother in-law Guy Bottini as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Holloway Funeral Home in Oldsmar, FL on Wednesday March 22nd, visiting hours are from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Saint Paul’s in Tampa FL.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation 60 East 56th Street, 8th floor, New York, NY 10022.
