David L Winfield

Winfield, David L., loving husband, father and grandfather (Poppy) left this life to be with the Lord on October 9, 2017. Dave was a generous, loving and deeply devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He was gracious with his time and his many abilities.  His love for Florida was known to all; most happy when outside, on his jet ski, fishing, or taking a leisurely bike ride beside the water.  He was an avid sports fan, most known for his life-long love of the New York Yankees.  He was a willing participant on any excursion his wife dreamt up, and a loyal friend to all. For most of his life, he worked as an Electrician/Field Supervisor, most recently for J&K Electric.  In 2015, Dave sought out a new career with Power Design as an Electrical Engineering Coordinator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph R. and Mildred P. Winfield. His loving family members remaining are: wife of 24 years, Sheila Detwiler Winfield; sons Jared Newsome (daughter-in-law Anna Marie Cavaliere Newsome), Colton Winfield, and Noah Winfield; two young grandchildren, Evelyn and Katherine Newsome; father-in-law Wayne Detwiler; brother Scott Winfield; and brothers-in-law Daniel Detwiler and Erik Detwiler. 

May the Lord's grace deliver him into the arms of Jesus.

Memorial Gathering will be at Holloway Funeral Home, Thursday, October 19, 2017 starting at 5:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m..
