Gene Dunn

Gene Dunn, 76, of Oldsmar, passed away February 25, 2018.  Born in Royalton, Kentucky. He moved to Oldsmar, Florida from Nicholasville, Kentucky in 1984, where he was a homebuilder.  After moving to Oldsmar he started his own business, Gene Dunn Continuous Guttering.  He was versatile at building almost anything. He also enjoyed woodworking and playing the banjo in his spare time.  Predeceased by his parents Floyd and Osie, brothers Paul Dunn and Paul Ruppe, Grandson Justin Thomas Brown and son-in-law Rick Burton. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen, daughters; Dianah Burton, Gina Marie (Steve) Smith and Deborah Brown, brothers; Donnie (Wanda) Dunn and Ancil (Clara) Ruppe, Sister; Maneva (Harold) Edelman, Grandchildren; Christopher (Sara) Burton, Elizabeth Burton, Tyler Brown and Paris Marie Michaud. Also survived by in-laws Chris (Paula) Watts, Debra (Doug) Brown, Robin (Chris) Hessner, Roger (Hope) Watts and Terri (Doug) Briner, friends John & Rosemarie Chambers and special caregiver Patty Baracaldo.  A Celebration of Life is scheduled for March 3 at Holloway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, gathering between 1:30 and 2:00.
