Helen V. McDowell

Helen V. McDowell, 99, of Homosassa, passed away March 1, 2017.  She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and lived in Michigan for most of her life until she moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1994, and later moved to Citrus County, Florida.  She worked various jobs throughout her life including Chaplin for a VFW Post, Circulation for Royal Oak Tribune Newspaper, and Resident Manager for group homes.  Predeceased by 3 husbands, Emery Soncrant, Samual Laub, and Lloyd McDowell, she is survived by her daughters  Susan Vidican (Bob) and Sally Loncharich (Ken), 4 Grandsons: Dwayne E. LaGrou (Lisa), Mark A LaGrou (Tammy), Bryan D. LaGrou, and Douglas M. Rohelier, Ten great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren, all from Michigan.  Helen's life was blessed with family, many extended family members and friends; all of whom were enriched by having her in their lives.
