Maureen McCartney Dabeck

Maureen McCartney Dabeck was a first-generation daughter of Ireland, County Antrim.  Irish Catholic to the core, she died on St. Patrick’s Day Sunday, March 17, 2019.  What a wonderful and fitting exit to a lovely life.

Maureen was born on February 17, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey.  She called Jersey home and proudly called herself a Jersey Girl.  Maureen retired to Safety Harbor, Florida for its warmth and sunshine.  Beloved daughter and sister, she is predeceased by her parents, Mike and Rita McCartney, and brother, Joseph Duffy McCartney.  She is survived by her brother, Michael Terrance McCartney, and children- Thomas, Sharon and Lawrence- and her grandchildren John, Mark, Michael, Reese, Connor, Jessica, Madison, Alex, Declan, and Andrew.  Maureen loved family and friends above all else and doing for them and others.  She was the most generous of people and lived a life of giving- to family and friends, and strangers.  Though, to Maureen, there were no strangers, only unknown friends.
