Hi dad! I wish I was writing you an email or leaving a message or just about anything where I knew that it would at least be possible to receive a reply from you, but it’s been almost 3 years now since you’ve been gone so it’s pretty obvious that won’t happen unfortunately. I miss you dad, like seriously seriously miss you and I’m sorry that I didn’t understand how valuable I guess it was to have you here for so long. Had I known then what I know now I can promise you that I would’ve spent a lot less time arguing in the fighting you and a lot more time letting you know how much I admire and love you. Some days it still feels like you’re still just down the street like nothing changed, other days I cry because I’m not positive I can clearly remember your voice anymore. Anyway your three year anniversary is coming up and of course Father’s Day is coming up so this is always a hard time of the year for me so if you could please yet again watch over all of us a little more and send a little more love and keep sending those signs for us to know they are still with us. Those little signs mean the world to all of us. I mean a lot of people think I’m nuts because I’m pretty sure that my father is setting the signs from heaven but that It’s all good cause I know you are. I love you and I miss you forever.
What I wouldn’t do it to hear you say hey kiddo to me was just one last time…
Love forever, your daughter,
Randa

Randa-
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
The loss of a loved one is so hard to face,
you just want to hide,
go somewhere and escape!
But death is something
we all must go through.
I know it's hard
when it's someone you loved and knew.
Just know now,
he is in a better place,
no more hurt or pain shall he face.
It seems unfair, and yes, this is true,
but he is in Heaven now
watching over me and you!
God has called him home to rest!!
And he's being well taken care of
Because God knows best!

Randa, your dad was a very caring man. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. There is nothing like a daddy and daughter relationship..or a daddy and son relationship. You always made your dad proud. Never doubt that...you will always daddys little girlYou were there for him till the end.. There is no better gift that you could have given him than your time and your love. God bless and many hugs to you and your family <3

I had Randy as a student at NPHS. He was a great football player and was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes group that I led. He also went on two trips with "The Spokesmen" cycling group, serving as one of my leaders on a Jr. High trip. He touched my life as he did thousands of others. With our Spokesmen Reunion coming up, his passing is a reminder that life is a gift. Randy was taken from us far too soon, but he lived his life well and sought to love and serve others. May each of us seek to do the same until God calls us to our eternal home. My prayers and sympathies are with his family.

Randy was indeed my oldest friend. We grew up together like brother and sister. My parents were introduced to each other through his parents Joyce & Richard in high school. We shared so many childhood memories. We shared the blizzard of "66" with Ricky Young babysitting while the parents were out on the tractors helping others. We grew up playing, camping, and vacationing together with our families. We attended church, youth group and Camp Olivet every summer throughout our youth. As a youth Randy accepted Christ as his savior and was saved. Glad to know that he is at peace with the Lord and we will have a heavenly reunion some day. My prayers go out to all the family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Randy in 1966 on our youth baseball team.He was a very good catcher on that team.We rode to Michigan in the summer of 1972 to attend F.C.A camp at Central Michigan University. We graduated from New Palestine High School in May of 1974 and spent a lot of times together after high school..Boating,camping and hanging out with our friends. He often stop by the shop when he was in town.He will be miss by many.Gary
