I'm so sorry to learn of Mr. Thygerson's passing in 2017. Both my husband and I fondly remember him as always happy, always an amused smile on his face and always helping expand teenagers' enthusiastic involvement with music. He was in the music department of Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio from which we graduated in 1956. The community was far the richer for his presence, professionalism and love for life and music. Our deepest condolences to his family.

I am a pianist and substitute organist in a Presbyterian Church in Cumberland Md. I have loved playing many of Mr. Thygerson’s compositions over the years on the piano. ( The Church Pianist). I was always excited to see his name on a piece when I received my “Church Pianist” bi- monthly issue. Loved his style of music and so enjoyed playing his beautifully composed pieces. I hadn’t seen a piece for a couple of years and feared he had passed away. To remaining family members, I am very sorry for your loss. He was a very talented gentleman who brought glory to God’s name with his lovely music. Sincerely , Nancy Hodges

Bob was a wonderful man and an outstanding musician. I enjoyed all the time we spent together practicing organ and piano duets that he composed while I was organist at Northwood Presbyterian. Bob and I even played a duet for one of the Clearwater Chapter, American Guild of Organists members' recitals. This program was held at Prince of Peace Lutheran in Clearwater. He was an avid supporter of mine and of church music.

My condolences to the family and rest in peace, Bob.
