Susanna Hevesy Obituary

Our Mother Susanna Hevesy (89) residing at Regency Oaks Clearwater, passed away peacefully

on October 15th 7:20am at Mease Countryside Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on April 28, 1930 in Budapest, Hungary. Her first marriage was to Miklos Toth in 1948 and

gave birth to Ildiko (born 7/2/1949) and Miklos (born January, 1951- deceased). She married

George Andrew Hevesy, MD in Budapest on July 11, 1953. They had 2 children George Zoltan (born

2/23/54) and Attila Tamas (born 2/19/58). During the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, she escaped with

family and arrived to the US in December 1956. She resided in West Orange, NJ for most of her life, then

Bradenton, Fl. and finally at Regency Oaks, Clearwater.  Her husband and son Miklos preceeded her in

death. She is survived by daughter Ildiko Luger (Gabor) of Budapest, Hungary, George of Peoria, Il. and

Attila of Tampa, Fl. as well as 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren. She was the world’s best cook

and hostess and traveled extensively. Bridge and dancing were her favorite activities and definitely

always had an opinion. Condolences can be sent to Holloway Funeral Home, Oldsmar and memorial

services will be private. Many thanks to the physicians, nurses and staff at Mease Countryside

Hospital for their compassionate and quality care.
