Bette Rae Maltinos

Bette Rae Maltinos was a fantastic mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and amazing friend.  She passed from this life into eternal life on July 26, 2022 at the age of 89.  She is survived by her two sons Richard Maltinos and Stephen Maltinos.  Her grandchildren Alicia Ferguson, Fawna Barnett, Chelsea and Hunter Greene.  Her great grandchildren Ashton and Ronin Ferguson.

She was born in Cincinatti Ohio on April 16, 1933.  Moved to Oldsmar Florida, built a home with her family and watched Oldsmar grow into what it is today.   She began her career at the Oldsmar post office and transitioned into working at the Tampa Bay Downs clubhouse for many years.  For several years she was actively involved in the Oldsmar Garden Club, playing the organ for the Methodist church, marched in many Oldsmar parades, served in the voting poles, assisted at the Oldsmar Florist and funeral home along with many other things too numerous to mention.   

She lived an amazing fulfilled life full of adventure and tenacity. She loved the Lord and experienced life from a broad spectrum.  She loved square dancing, gardening, had a passion for travel and was always available for her loved ones.  She had a huge heart for people and was always giving of herself.  

Viewing will be Thursday 7/28/2022 from 6-8pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Oldsmar.  Shorter viewing will be held Friday 7/29/2022 at 10am.  Grave site at Sylvan Abbey immediately following the service.
