Dorothy Lee Mulvihill was born on November 28, 1934, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and died on November 4, 2023, in Palm Harbor, Florida. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Mulvihill, brother Clark Haines (Lorraine), sister Kathy DeForest (Walt) children Daniel C. Lee, Charles J. Lee, Cindy Lee O’Leary (Larry), Molly A. Lee, grandchildren Adam R. O’Leary (Nikki), Charles R. Lee (Cassie), Christopher C. Lee (Beata), Gavin T. O’Leary (Marissa), and great-grandchildren Liam Coy O’Leary and Rex Charles Lee, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, William Earl Haines and Louise Caroline Haines (Schubert), husband Coy R. Lee, siblings Elizabeth, Mary Lou, William, Edward, Virginia, Patricia, and Kenneth. An Oldsmar resident since 1958, Dotty left an indelible mark on the city by virtue of her lifetime of civic endeavors, earning recognition as Citizen of the Year in 1973. Her interest in shaping the city into what we now know as Oldsmar was rewarded by voters electing her as council member in 1977 and 1990. Dotty also had the distinction of being Oldsmar’s Vice-Mayor in 1980 and Mayor in 1981.

Her celebration of life will be held at Community United Methodist Church, 207 Buckingham Avenue, Oldsmar on Saturday, January 13th at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Oldsmar Cares, Oldsmar Historical Society, or any Oldsmar-serving charity.
