Floyd Wyatt Golden, Jr.

Floyd Wyatt Golden, Jr., 73 of Tampa, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Born on May 4, 1953, in Tampa, Floyd was the beloved son of Floyd W. Golden, Sr. and JoHannah Watkins Golden. His love of dogs and horses led to his lifetime career of dog grooming at Fancy That. Floyd is survived by his life partner of 31 years, David Haddix, children; Ericka Elder, Adam Golden and Joseph Golden (Kelly);  7 grandchildren, Cristina (Fred), Amanda (Rob), Chad, Conner, Samantha, Anna & Avery; 3 great grandchildren, Leon, Robert & Marlon and former wife and life long best friend, Mary Friedling. Floyd is also survived by his sisters, Linda Martin, Debbie (Bob) Seeders; nieces Tamara and Haleigh and their families, Lana Joiner, Joanna (David) Libbey, Carol (Pete) Makryllos, mother-in-law, Alice McCall; sister-in-law, Kelly Copeland (Jessie), Emily & Jacob and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family and friends are asked to meet at the Keystone United Methodist Church, 16301 Race Track Road, Odessa, FL. 33556. at 11:00AM for the funeral. A celebration of life will follow immediately after the service in the church hall.
