In Loving Memory of Olga Contreras
August 13, 1948 – September 10, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olga Contreras, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on August 13, 1948, in El Paso, Texas, Olga lived a life full of warmth, love, and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Olga was the cherished mother of Rafael Contreras (Jennifer Kirk), Olga Contreras (Duanel Rodriguez), Fabiola Chavez (Anthony Sanchez), and Jesus Contreras (Lucero Gomez). She was a proud grandmother to Zachary and Destiny Contreras, Gerardo Ortiz (Leah Oswald), Lorenzo Chavez (Grecia Medina), Jovanna Chavez (Alex Patterson), Francisco Lopez, Lily Barron, Isaac Contreras, and Liam Contreras. Olga’s love for her family was unmatched, and her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

Over 20 years ago, Olga made the bold decision to leave her hometown of El Paso and move to Tampa, Florida. She quickly fell in love with the lush greenery, vibrant palm trees, and beautiful beaches.

Olga had an incredible sense of humor, a quick wit, and a knack for delivering the perfect burn. She could light up a room with laughter and her clever comebacks.

She was a regular at the local YMCA, where she enjoyed staying active and socializing with friends. She loved the beach, playing bingo, and—above all—spending time with her family. Olga made every moment count.

Rest in peace, Olga. The world was a better place with you in it.

A celebration of Olga's life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Holloway Funeral Home, located at 112 S Bayview Blvd, Oldsmar, FL 34677.
