Robert Reynolds Obituary

Reynolds, Robert Steven “Steve”, 74 of Flint, Michigan, passed away, September 24, 2025, at his home in Oldsmar, Florida. He was born in Clearwater, FL., and spent most of his life in Davison, MI. He was a graduate of Davison High School class of 1969.  His dream was to join the United States Marine Corp, but he was unable to pursue that dream. He was in sales and service for many years, and was employed by Matrix Expedited Service until he retired in 2018.  He and his wife, Kathy, spent many years in Davison raising their children. They would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on October 7th. They loved traveling together. History was always a favorite topic of discussion, and he loved learning anything he could about it. He was also a seasoned expert when it came to Hallmark movies. He always enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved the family reunions, and he and Kathy would travel to North Carolina to spend family reunions with extended family. He made sure that all around him would feel welcomed. He became a father figure to many giving them someone to look up to. He loved to fish and hunt, and many stories were told about the “one that got away”. He also loved to cook. He had a special knack for making delicious meals, but the family always joked about him not wanting to share his recipes. Steve leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Kathryn L. Reynolds, and his children; Kelly (Alan) Bolick, Robert Jr. (Shannon) Reynolds, and Matthew (Kimberly) Reynolds. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Catheryn (Logan) Sizemore, Aidan, Emma, and Allison Reynolds, and Brandon, Alyssa, and Logan Jeffries; great grandchildren; Kali, Julius, and Leeanna who will be arriving soon. He leaves behind his beloved siblings; Michael Reynolds, Carol Gommesen, Diana (Danny) Haynes, Linda (Joseph) Scarfone, and Jerry (Pamela) Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Florence Reynolds, Brother; Wayne Scott Reynolds, and sister Sally Ann.

The family will have a private celebration of life to honor Steve at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in Steve’s memory.
