Ardith K. Tangman

Ardith K. "Ardie" Tangman 81 of Palm Harbor, passed away May 3, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Ardie was born in Belvidere, Illinois, to the late Andy & Mary Agnes (Rahbar) Whiting.  She attended Belvidere High School then attended DePauw University in Green Castle, Indiana 1952-1953, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority then went on to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois 1954-1955. Ardie owned and operated Wildwood Arabian Horse Farm in Belvidere, Illinois. Her hobbies include horses, animals, gardening, and Gardening Clubs and attending luncheons with her Alpha Chi Omega Sorority Sisters, and spending time with her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband since August 7, 1955 Gordon Tangman; daughter, Susan and David Casey of Charlotte, North Carolina; son, Thomas and Donna (Hicks) Tangman of Stockbridge, Wisconsin; granddaughter, Corri (Casey) and Mark Trevethan of Tampa, Florida; sister, Donna and Jim Maguire of Monument, Colorado; niece, Melissa (Maguire) and Rick Powell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nephew, Kevin and Cathe Maguire of Monument, Colorado and her loving cockapoo Max. A visitation will be held Friday from 4-6 PM at Holloway Funeral Home with funeral service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated..
