Holloway Funeral Home is proud to be a part of the Veterans & Family Memorial Care funeral home provider network, providing the best incare for those who served and those who love them. Veterans & Family Memorial Care Providers and experts in arranging, directing and coordinating all of the details surrounding Veterans Administration (VA) Burial Benefits and any additional funeral home services needed after the death of a veteran or a veteran’s family member. Funeral services, cremation arrangements, transportation, or military honors ARE NOT provided within the VA Burial Benefits. 

Free burial for veterans is available at all VA national cemeteries to any deceased veteran of wartime or peacetime service (other than training) who was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. Eligible spouses and dependents may be eligible for a free burial if they predecease the veteran. They will accept casket or cremation remains at all nine Florida National Cemeteries for approved VA burial benefits. There are VA burial benefits for veterans buried in a private cemetery of choice which may include a government headstone, marker or medallion, a Presidential Memorial Certificate and a burial flag, at no cost to the family. Spouses and dependents buried in a private cemetery are not eligible for any benefits. Some veterans also may be eligible for burial allowances. 

For Veterans that would like to work with Holloway Funeral home on a prepaid funeral plan, they can also determine their eligibility for interment in a National Cemetery prior to needing it. Veterans can find out if they are eligible for memorialization or burial in a VA national cemetery through the Pre-Need Determination of Eligibility Program. Once that eligibility is determined, they can plan their funeral with our help and assistance to ensure your wishes will be carried out. It also relieves family members of the financial burden and uncertainty of planning a funeral service.
