Welcome to the memorial page for

Myron Roy Wenner

October 22, 1954 ~ October 26, 2016 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Myron Roy Wenner was born in Hettinger, North Dakota on October 22, 1954.  He spent his childhood on the farm with his parents (Frank and Hilda) along with his sister Linda and brothers Floyd and Dwight. He attended a 1 room school which comprised of a teacher and only two families.

At an early age Myron learned how to become a rancher and farmer with guidance of his family.  Life was not easy but it was fulfilling to young Myron.  Later on he would attend high school otherwise referred to by the community as “Town School”.  After graduating Lemmon High School at age 17, he decided to move to Montana to join a surveying crew.  After gaining experience with surveying he chose to make a long distance move to New Orleans to further his career in surveying.  While in New Orleans he took advantage of the great times and new experiences it had to offer.  Many things were new to Myron and being the adventurer he was, it made him look at his life in a whole new way!  He then began his career in printing which let him back to South Dakota where he would soon begin another chapter of his life.

While working in South Dakota for State Publishing he ran into his future wife at the Whale Inn Pub conveniently located next door to work.  He and Shelly married January 25th, 1975, 6 months after they had met.  On May 13th, 1979, they welcomed their only child Tessa into the world.  For the next 25 years he would enjoy time with family and friends on Lake Oahe. Here he loved boating, spear fishing and searching for artifacts just like Indiana Jones.  There may have been a few beers consumed during his adventures as well!  Sadly, Shelly and he divorced in 2000 but remained close friends.

Myron went back to what he did best and began a new adventure in life exploring the last Frontier, Florida!!  After trying out several careers, he decided he would be best suited for Real Estate and went on to become a successful realtor in Pinellas County.  While squeezing some  kayaking in between clients, fate would bring him directly to love.

On September 3, 2002 he met Karen Boyle on Dunedin Causeway.  After a 6 week world-wind romance, Myron proposed marriage to Karen on his birthday October 22nd, 2002. Loving the same things in life and laughing “at and with” each other everyday,  they married in Las Vegas 5 months later on February 5th, 2003.  For many years Myron and Karen enjoyed the simple things in life and the outdoors together!

On June 2005, Myron was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia otherwise known as  (C.L.L).  Immediately Myron set out to find the best plan of attack against this cancer as he was full of life and never gave in to anything!  While fighting cancer, Myron never gave up his pursuit of his dreams and enjoyed building and creating many things.  Using his imagination and his ability to create anything,he began renovating the homes he and Karen lived in.  Years
later, he would transition into a new career as a 3D designer at his step son’s new business doing aluminum construction.  At Boyle’s Aluminum and Screening he would continue learning new things and teaching others all he had learned throughout his life.  With his lifetime of knowledge and ability to adapt to anything, he helped Craig and Eric grow the  company to the success that it is today! He enjoyed every aspect of being part of a large loving family.  Much of his time with family was noticeably directed towards playing with, teaching and goofing around with the rapidly growing “herd of grandchildren”!!

Myron’s view of life was to “enjoy it while you’re living”, which he not only preached but lived each and everyday! On Wednesday, October 26th, 2016, “IRON MYRON”  prepared for his next “New Adventure” leaving this world for the next………...
