Anna Marie (Coffey) Whalen

Anna Marie Whalen 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Tidewell Hospice In Palmetto Florida on August 22, 2018. She was born on January 26, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas Coffey and Laura Hebel. She was married to Peter Whalen in 1945.  She enjoyed her four children and their Spouses  Christine/Jeff Hickey, Barbara/Louis Boonstra, Kevin Whalen, Linda/Rick Musil. She had 4 grandsons David Boonstra, Brian (Crystal), Scott (Kerri) Hickey, Ryan (Jennifer) Slaughter. Many great-grandchildren that she loved, Angelica, Jake, Isabella Hickey, Brayden Blanco;Zachary, Lucas, Abigail Slaughter; Daniel Krawczyk.

Anna loved chocolate, cookies, Diet Coke, and McDonald’s. She loved going to the beach, taking long road trips and loved wearing her sunglasses. She also enjoyed  reading and painting. A perfect day for Anna was a trip to the beach and stopping at McDonald's for her Diet Coke and cookies followed by watching the sunset.  She is now on the Carefree Highway!  RIP Anna!

Graveside Celebration of Life will be August 30 at a private ceremony.  She will be placed at her final resting place at Holy Sepulchre in Alsip, Illinois next to Husband Peter and Son Kevin. 

She will be missed by all. 

How lucky are we to have something that makes saying good-bye so hard.

We will love and miss you always.
