Carole L. Guccini

Carole L. Guccini, 82, formerly of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family while under hospice care in Clearwater, Florida. Born on September 20, 1938, in South Sterling, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Probst and Verlo (Frick) Probst. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Vincent N. Guccini.
Prior to starting her family, she worked at White Beauty View Resort on Lake Wallenpaupack. She was a homemaker and mom who raised five children. She enjoyed doing needlework and was an avid quilter, stitching everything by hand. She also enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She was “Grammy” to the many church youth that she loved helping and visiting with. She enjoyed many friendships over the years, especially her special lifetime bond with her best friend, Lucile DeEsch, prior to her passing in 2006. She will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
She is survived by her five children: Marisa Smith and husband Randy of Burke, Virginia; Gina Stollenwerk and husband Lawrence of Henryville, Pennsylvania; Nalda Guccini of Clearwater, Florida; Linda Guccini and her husband Charles McNabb of Oldsmar, Florida; Jackie Dreksler and husband Ken of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. She had ten grandchildren Nicholas Smith and wife Beth, Zachary Smith and wife Sheree, Rebekah Smith, Hannah Smith, Aliyah Smith, Nyah Smith, Rachael Lane and partner Jimmy, Alexander Guccini, Bryan McNabb and partner Kayla, Reid Dreksler and nine great- grandchildren Jackson, Grant, Nolan, Carl, Clara, Jamie, Jax, Axton, Royce. She was also very fond of her extended family: Kiley Marston and Stardasia Rhymer who treated her like their “Grammy”, and friend Nancy Marston. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Fenkner, of Greentown and her cousin, Nancy Longstreet, of Stanhope, New Jersey.
There will be no memorial service at this time due to Covid-19 considerations.
