Douglas L. Wood

Douglas L. Wood, long-term resident of Oldsmar, FL passed away on August 6, 2019. Douglas was born in Johonson City, New York to parents Ethel and the late Steve Wood. He and his family settled in Oldsmar in the 1970s. Douglas was known to be an avid fisherman who loved to spend time with family and friends. It was said that whenever you went to his home you already knew that you would be eating fish for dinner. He worked as a mason throughout his life and much of his work can be found throughout Oldsmar. Douglas was preceded in death by father Steve Wood (May 9, 2019) and is survived by his mother, Ethel Wood; daughter, Angelica Wood; longtime partner Shelly Ferguson; as well as brother, David Wood; sister, Veronica Fuqua; and grandson, Jeff Jones. A memorial gathering will be scheduled in the future.
