James William Spence (aka our Bugs) 24 years of age passed away on May 6th in Holiday Florida. James was an avid skateboarder and adrenaline junkie riding dirt bikes and enjoying the outdoors. James had a love for clothes and shoes and could never seem to get enough. James was in a tragic accident in 2013 leaving him with a traumatic brain injury that impacted him the rest of his short life. James lost all of his functioning the day of the accident and fought back step by step to regain all he could. We were told he would never walk again or be independent and the chances he would survive the accident were not good. He did. He walked, he swam, he rode a bike, and slowly became more independent day by day. He even noticed if you tried to put him in "ugly" shoes! James was loved by many and will always be remembered for his sly smile and the laughter he brought to us. James fought so hard to survive the accident and slowly became worn down and exhausted of the fight. His soul is now free of the limitations that his body gave him, and he is able to feel peace, love and comfort with the Lord that he deeply loved. He is predeceased by father James Scott Spence, Survived by parents Misti & Dave Evans of New Port Richey, Brothers: Kody Frushour, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gavin Ray of New Port Richey, Sisters: Bria and Kaia Evans of New Port Richey, Maternal Grandparents: Roberta Mauk and Jerry Cousino of Columbus, Ohio, Paternal Grandparents Jim and Darlene Spence of Georgia. Several Aunts and Uncles including Jason and Jessica Young of Toledo, Ohio, and numerous cousins.
