Kerry Lee Elwood, 65, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2024. He was born on June 30,1958 in St. Louis, MO and moved with his family to FL in 1979.
Kerry was a loyal and devoted husband, loving brother and uncle and faithful friend. He is survived by his wife Donna Watts Elwood and two sisters Debra Yates (husband Fred) of Farmington MO, Kitty Harrison (husband Steve) of St. Louis, MO, three nephews Ryan, Paul, and Jacob Krupp, one niece Amy Perry (husband Steve) of Clearwater, FL and two great nephews Jack and Wade Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Margaret “Peggy” Elwood.
Kerry was a good man; genuine, kind, easy-going, and fun-loving. He enjoyed life and was always up for an adventure. He was his own man who loved deeply. His foremost devotion and love were for his wife, family, and friends. From an early age Kerry loved motorcycles, a passion he shared with his beloved dad. He loved rock music and baseball. Born in St. Louis, MO, loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals was in his DNA. In addition, he was an ardent fan of the Tampa Bay Rays and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kerry played softball, golf and pickleball, and loved most all outdoor activities including hiking, rafting, and visiting America’s national parks.
He enjoyed a life-long professional career in the data communications and telecommunications industries.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kerry’s memory to the National Brain Tumor Society.
