In Loving Memory of Loretta Deacon
November 16, 1941 – September 29, 2026
Loretta Deacon (née Krawczyk), passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, at the age of 84, with her beloved bird, Tweety, by her side.
Loretta lived a life filled with love, friendship, family, and many special memories. From an early age, she had a special spark that made her stand out. While in high school, she made history by becoming the first sophomore to be crowned Homecoming Queen. She was also honored as Chicago's Polish Princess, an accomplishment she carried with pride throughout her life.
Loretta had many interests and talents. She loved sewing and enjoyed creating things with her own hands. She also had a very special companion in her beloved bird, Tweety. Tweety was much more than a pet—he was her faithful companion and a cherished part of her life. Loretta loved him dearly and took him everywhere she went. Their bond was unmistakable and brought her great joy.
Loretta was the beloved wife of Richard A. Deacon (deceased) and stepmother to Paula A. Garcia (Larry). She was a cherished step-grandmother to Christopher S. Garcia and Amanda J. Grell (Brandon), and a step-great-grandmother to Lily J. Grell and Lauren P. Grell.
She was also the wife of Arthur F. Goetze (deceased) and stepmother to Joyce A. Esarey.
Loretta was the sister of William Krawczyk Jr. (Carol, deceased) and Gerald Krawczyk Sr. (Beverly). She was a loving aunt to Robert Krawczyk (Karyn), David Krawczyk (deceased), Dennis Krawczyk (deceased), Jerry Krawczyk Jr. (Kari), Kevin Krawczyk (Jodi), and Kerri Hickey (Scott).
She was also a cherished best friend to Dorothy Toomey (Michael) and Marie Gallelli (Sal, deceased).
Loretta will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her creativity, her love of family and friends, and the joy she found in the simple things she loved most. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and especially in the stories they share of the remarkable woman she was.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, 10:00am at Incarnation Catholic Church 2901 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida 34239
