In loving memory Loretta Wyandt, January 23, 1931 - January 31, 2022

Loretta born January 23, 1931, in Tampa, Florida to parents George and Elizabeth Eady. She has two late sisters:  Mrytle Margaret Valdez, Thelma Fay Eady and her late brother Jimmie Millard Eady.  She graduated from Jefferson High School. She worked at the original Goody Goody, Tampa, as a roller skate waitress in her early years.  Later she would meet her late husband, James Wyandt.  They were married for 52 years. They lived in Orlando before landing in Oldsmar. They would have two loved sons: Dennis Wyandt (Jennie), Dana Wyandt.  Her sons would both marry and bring her such joy, her four wonderful grandchildren: Brooke Wyandt Leske (Darren), Jonathan Wyandt, Victoria Wyandt and Alex Wyandt (Ellen) and they would bring her precious great grandchildren: Adeline, Luke and Ruby. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Loretta was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Oldsmar.  She had close friends that attended church with one of her best friends, Sandy Sears.  Loretta was a civil servant. One of her many hats she established the Historical Society of Oldsmar. She also established and served as president of the Top of the Bay Garden. She was very involved in the preservation and beautification of the City of Oldsmar.  Loretta was quite the political activist. She served on the Oldsmar City Council.  She was quite to voice at many of the city council meetings. Loretta was instrumental in helping to getting the city many grants.  She continued to stay in politics and served on many committees, among another best friend, Barbara Todd.  Loretta served on Friends of the Library and Dunedin Garden Club. She also had a career in real estate and met no strangers.  She was a proud Republican, straightshooter, no filter and southern spitfire. 

Some of Loretta favorites was she loved Las Vegas and she loved Elvis Presley.  She enjoyed green tea latte from Starbucks. A true southerner, she often enjoyed eating out with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and of course, the Steel Magnolia Birthday luncheons.  She loved breakfast at Country Boy Restaurant and dinner at Julian’s Italian restaurant. 

She passed away peacefully with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
