Miguel A. Alvarado 62, of Oldsmar, FL passed away May 30, 2019 surrounded by his family under the care of Suncoast Hospice. He was born in Santiago, Chile to the proud parents of Ruben "Poppi" Artemio and Maria "Judy" Angelica (Lazo) Alvarado. He attended the local schools where he grew up. Miguel spent most of his life as a school bus driver in New York and moved to Florida a few years ago with his wife Jean of 40 years. Miguel enjoyed time with his family and was an avid fan of the New York Islander hockey team.
He is survived by his parents, wife; Jean, three children; Jessica & (Steven) Olson and Bethany Alvarado all of Oldsmar, FL and Michael & (Elsa) Alvarado of Greenville, New York, five grandchildren; Jason, Justin, Logan, Jaxon and Amelia "Meme", one brother; Carlos & (Jacqueline) Alvarado of Pomona, New York, and one sister, Angelica & husband (Glen) of MA and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Holloway Funeral Home and funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 am at the funeral home also.
