Pamala K Conners

Pamala K. Conners, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 1, 1944, in Lima, Ohio, Pamala was the cherished daughter of Betty (Brown) and Bill Conners. She grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and later made her home in Defiance, Ohio. She spent many years working at Frisch’s Big Boy, where she became known for her strong work ethic—working her way from dishwasher to Executive Manager—and earning multiple awards for running a profitable and well-loved location.

After years of enduring northern winters, she embraced a new chapter in Florida, where she enjoyed sunshine, warm weather, and a slower pace of life.

Pamala grew up alongside her brothers, Mitchell (the late Denise) Conners and the late Terry (Linda) Conners, sharing a lifelong bond rooted in love and admiration. She is survived by her children, Karen Walter and Kimberlee Pries, and is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Power. She was referred to fondly as “GrandPam” by her grandchildren: Terra (Michael) Robinson, Jessica (Sandeep) Anand, Brooke (Nick) Donato, and Scott (Kelsey) Walter. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her great-grandchildren—Madelynn Robinson, Michael Robinson Jr, Serena Anand, and Scotty Walter—who brought happiness and laughter into her life.

Pamala was a woman who paid impeccable attention to detail, always beautifully dressed and put together. She was also remarkably strong and capable, never hesitating to take on home improvement projects with determination and pride. Her elegance was matched by her practicality, and she approached both with the same steady confidence.

She hosted many family gatherings, bringing everyone together to celebrate Christmas or enjoy a summer cookout. Her home was a place where people felt welcome and had fun.

A celebration of Pamala’s life will be announced at a later date, when family and friends will gather to honor her and share memories of the impact that she made on their lives.
