Patrick Ivan Wilson, son of Inez and Angelo Wilson, passed away on September 21, 2023 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of April and devoted father to Vincent (Jody), Richard (Relisa), John Sawyer and Gillian. Pat was the cherished grandfather to Luke, Blake Sawyer, Brooke Sawyer, Reanna, Jayde, Regan, Robyn, Renee and great granddaughter Haisley Sawyer. He was an uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Pat was a dear and loyal brother to his surviving sister, Judith, and his deceased siblings: Ulric, Cynthia, Kelvin, Theresa, Naomi, Johnny, Peter, Winston, and Anthony. Pat was born on October 23, 1937 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and became a US citizen in 1982. He graduated from Mount Saint Benedict College, competed in soccer, cricket, table tennis and was an avid soccer fan throughout his life.
He worked at Hand Arnold as a salesman. Immigrating to Brooklyn, New York in 1967, he transitioned to computer operations at Paine Webber on Wall Street until his retirement 23½ years later. Afterwards he relocated to Florida in 1990 and enjoyed making new friends.
In Florida, Pat met and married his loving wife April in 1998. In Tampa he worked at Salomon Brothers and volunteered for the Moffitt Cancer Center. Living in Port Richey he drove a handicapped school bus for the District School Board of Pasco County.
Faith, family, friends, and fun were very important to Pat. He loved music, dancing, and beaches and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family & Friends are invited to join us in celebrating his life at Holloway Funeral Home, 112 Bayview Blvd. Oldsmar, FL 34677 on Saturday September 30, 2023. Viewing will be held from 2 - 4pm, followed by Prayer Service and Reflections, then repast at Fairway Pizza in Crystal Beach. In lieu of flowers, tribute contributions can be made either to the Alzheimer's Association at https://www.alz.org or the Suncoast Hospice Foundation at https://suncoasthospicefoundation.org.
