Paul Estella, 80, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away at home on June 10, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Zaragoza, Spain and spent his early years from age 8 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His early working years were spent in set construction at the famous Teatro Colon there, alongside his father. He emigrated to the U.S. in the early 1960’s, settling in the New York City area and he re-located to Florida in 1986, after living and working for a brief time in The Woodlands, TX. He was an active volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Oldsmar Fire Department for several years. Paul worked in the auto repair industry, and later in emergency vehicle repair, for most of his career. He enjoyed spending time in his garage workshop building just about anything, making home improvements, and keeping his prized pickup truck in pristine condition. He was also an avid Buccaneers fan. He never met a stranger and was a good neighbor, always willing to lend a hand.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Pablo Estella and Manuela Torrijos and two sisters, Pilar (“Pili”) and Angeles (“Angie”). He is survived by his wife, Carole, sons Daniel (Eileen), Edward (Tonya), five grandchildren-Cory (Jackie), Amber, Daniel, Carter and Taylor, three nieces and one nephew.
His family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Suncoast Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, June 21 at Holloway Funeral Home. Gathering of family and friends between 1:00 to 2:00pm and service starting at 2:00.
