Ray Henry Hicks

Hicks, Ray of Chicago, Illinois and most recently Port Richey, Florida passed away Monday June 24, 2024, at the Trinity Regional Rehab Center. He was born August 4, 1934 in Spotsylvania, Virginia to parents Lawrence and Lillian (Sulllivan) Hicks. He was a longtime and active member of the Windy CIty Communty Church in Chicago, Illinois, this is where he found a church that he truly loved and they would show him that same love him in return. Ray would be blessed with a large family but it would grow even larger as all of the children in his neighborhood would refer to him as "Grandpa".

Ray is survived by his son, Keith (wife Jill), daughters Karalyn Friel (husband Bill), and Annette Noffz, along with 13 grandchildren. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lillian, his wife Harriet, daughter Rae-Lynn Roberts, and son-in-laws, Dennis Roberts and James Noffz.

Memorial service to be held at Windy City Community Church Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2pm CT.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to either the Windy City Community Church or Horse Connections, a local theraputic horsemanship program for the special needs. Information on how to donate can be found either on their websites using the links or the ways listed below.
