Rebecca "Becky" Loomis passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18th, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born on December 13,1965, Becky was a lifelong Largo, Florida resident.
Becky loved nothing more than the large and loud gatherings she threw for her family, eating, playing games and being together. She was an avid music fan, attending live concerts and music festivals across the state. Many weekends she could be found either camping or attending one of the many sporting events in which her children and grandchildren were participating. An avid animal lover, she always had one of beloved dogs at her feet. When she had time alone, which wasn't often, she loved to curl up with a good crime story, spending the entire evening reading until she had "solved" the mystery.
A nurse for more than 30 years, Becky took great pride in caring for her patients. It was not uncommon for her to develop personal bonds with patients and families. For most of her career, she cared for cancer patients, administering treatments with care and compassion, striving to improve the patient's health, but also working hard to ensure continued respect and dignity for those under her care.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Creig, daughters Jennifer and Stephanie, and sons Matthew and Michael, as well as seven grandchildren, her sister and two brothers. She was proceeded in death by her mouther, Ruby Humphress and her mother in law, Peggy Loomis.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Holloway Family Funeral Home in Oldsmar, Florida.
