Richard Ernest Burt

Richard Ernest Burt, 73, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully May 22, 2018. He was born May 22, 1945 to Richard Stanley Burt and Sally Bertelsen in New Britain, Connecticut. He worked as an accountant for the water department in the city of Tampa. Richard is survived by his wife Ellen of 32 years, his daughters Rebecca and Marsha, his son-in-law Nicholas Mann, his sister Patricia Goudy and her husband Mel, his sister Barbara Meyer and her husband Gerald, and his nieces and nephews. He was a loving father and husband who was always there to talk and give advice when it was needed. Richard was always up for trying new activities like biking with his battery operated bike, using his motorized scooter, snorkeling at the YMCA, taking a class on survival with Rebecca, playing and coaching soccer with his daughters, and traveling to new places. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with his family.
