Stephen R. Oakley

Stephen (Steve) R. Oakley was a loving Father, Brother, and Friend to everyone he met. He viewed Strangers as Friends he just hadn’t meet yet. He left this world unexpectedly on March 13, 2021.  Steve was kindhearted, giving, and a gentle soul, and will be forever missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his loving Wife Vera, his sons Keith and Stephen and Stepchildren Shivani, and Jon.  He served with honor in the United States Navy, Retired from the Tampa International Airport, and then later in life went on to become an LPN in Nursing to help as many people as he could in the Cancer ward at Zephyrhills Hospital.  As President of the Board in Doral Village, his primary concern was always the safety and well being of the Residents.  I found a Quote from him in his Journal that he wanted in his Obituary it read,

“Let it be known, He Tried; He Cared; He Loved His Family”

You didn’t try Dad…You Succeeded! We will miss you Pop!

Due to COVID, We are holding a small Family Gathering at Holloway Funeral Home in Oldsmar but there will be a Celebration Of Life at Doral Village to be held later.
