Cresta, Veronica "Ronnie" Jean, 73, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on November 13, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey on October 24, 1951, she spent her life living in Westwood, New Jersey; Alpharetta, Georgia; and eventually retired in Palm Harbor, Florida.
She graduated from St. Cecilia High School in Englewood, NJ and St. Thomas Aquinas College in Orangeburg, NY. She was an elementary school teacher, and after moving to Florida, she became a Marketing Director for Chick-fil-A.
Ronnie married the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Cresta on June 13, 1976. They had two children, Joseph and Matthew. Ronnie's dedication to raising her boys was virtually unmatched. Spending time with her family was the most important thing to Ronnie. Three of the happiest days of her life were when she became a "GiGi" to her three grandsons.
She was known for her generous heart, vivacious smile, and infectious laugh. She was a giving and committed member of her community and adored cooking and sharing meals with her loved ones. She loved daily walks on the beach with Joe at their small beach hideaway and enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, and Mahjong with her many friends. Ronnie was a member of Harborside Christian Church and attended Bible studies for years.
Ronnie leaves behind her husband, Joe, to cherish her memory. Survivors include her sons Joe (Lauren) and Matt (Cassie); siblings Caroline (Rufus) Little, Beverly (Rick) Robinson, and Bill (Anna Marie) Corvelli; and grandchildren Chase, Crew, and Cam. A memorial service and celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at the Chapel at Harborside Christian Church located at 2100 Marshall St, Safety Harbor, FL 34695, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:30 AM. In honor of her vibrant and joyful personality, we invite everyone to wear bright colors, if comfortable. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Ronnie's memory.
