Walter H. Stewart, Oldsmar FL. – Walter Harley Stewart, age 79, died March 26,2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Rutland, VT. on September 30, 1941 the son of Francis Ray Stewart and Anna (Peters) Stewart Perkins. In 1959, Walter joined the United States Navy stationed in Norfolk VA. Serving until 1962, returning to Vermont. In 1963 he met the love of his life Micheleen (Mickey) B. Magoon. Walter and Mickey were married November 21, 1964. In 1967, They started Stewart’s Upholstery Business operating for 20 years.
In 1978 Walter joined the Elks Lodge and in 1985 he became Exalted Ruler of Lodge 345 in Rutland VT and was a lifetime member. In 1987, Walter and Mickey sold their business and moved to Oldsmar FL where he worked as a upholster for different companies. In 2007 Walter changed careers and became a bus driver for Pinellas County School System, where he was known as “Mr. Wally” driving a bus route until his retirement 2017.
Walter was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mickey in Oldsmar FL., daughter Roxann (Paul) Franklin VA., son William (Deborah) Weeki Wachee FL. Grandchildren, Brittney (Jacob) Raleigh NC., Mary-Rae (Drew) Bumpass VA., Billy-Ray (Asya) Port Richey FL. One Great Grandson Karysn Port Richey FL. Brothers-In-Law Leander (Linda) Valleyfield QC., Richard Montreal QC. a niece and nephews.
