Walter "Jay" Strock, Jr.

Strock,"Jay" Walter Jr. completed his final lap on February 5, 2018 when he passed away peacefully at his home. Jay was born in Tampa to the parents of Walter and Dorothy (Hemrick) Strock. He grew up in Port Tampa City. He served his country in the Merchant Marines and became a well known dealer of stock car tires here in Florida. He is survived by one son; Kent and (Kecia) Strock of Seffner, Florida and one granddaughter; Tina Elizabeth, one brother Roy and (sister-in-law Dianne) Strock of Bushnell, FL and one sister Ann (brother-in-law Charles Manning) Jones of Chassahowitzka, Florida and nieces and nephews. A special memorial race in Jay's honor will be at Showtime Raceway, Pinellas Park on Saturday February 24, 2018.
