Michael Thomas Burgess

Michael Thomas Burgess, 66, of Dunedin, passed away January 6, 2017.  Born in Covington, Kentucky, he moved here in 1980 and worked for the Hillsborough County Water Department for over 30 years until he retired in 2015. Predeceased by his father Wesley R. Burgess, he is survived by his mother Helen V. Burgess, sons; Bryan Michael (Penny) Burgess  and Christopher (Joelle) Burgess, their mother Beverly, daughters; Shay and Cassie Burgess, their mother Beth, brothers; Russell P. and Timothy J. Burgess, sister; Wilma J. "Dodie" Gamel, grandchildren; Brady Michael, Lexington, Jasmin, Gavin, Kaylen, and Dalton, and many nieces and nephews.  Michael Thomas had a way of making people laugh.  He was truly loved and will be dearly missed.  A Memorial Gathering will be Wednesday, January 11, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service starting at 7:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home. Dress casual.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, or The Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
