Diane, I bought a 1982 corvette last year that I believe Gerd used to own. My daughter and I have been working on the car and it's doing great. I found Gerd's name in the previous owners manual. Reach out if you'd like.

We were so sad to learn of Gerd's passing.  Our sympathy goes out to Diane and all who knew Gerd.  He was a great neighbor and always willing to help out.  We will miss him, his dry sense of humor and his ability to say a lot in just a few words.

Diane.........we are so saddened to learn of Gerd's passing. We understand that these past two years must have been extremely tough for both of you.

We will remember him as having that great "dry sense of humor" that just caught us off guard and tickled our funny bone.

Our deepest sympathies to you.    Brenda and Jim Lyness

Diane, I am so sorry for your loss.  I only knew Gerd for a short time, but had a lot of fun competing with him on the pickle ball  courts and talking about classic cars.

Gerd asked me to start a business with him 27 years ago, I was only 22 years old.
Not sure what he saw in me way back then. But, he taught me everything that I know today. His hard work was contagious. He is the most honest business man I have ever known. Thank you Gerd for all you have done for me and my family.
Diane I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your memories will help you through these difficult times.
Rest in Peace Gerd.

Dear Diane,
My memories of Gerd are of a kind, strong man who, when he spoke, said what he wanted to say with an amazing dry humor.  In many ways, Gerd and you, Diane, were part of the pickleball family that helped heal after losing my beloved husband, Jon.  He always called me "curly" and I am so thankful for having known Gerd.  Take care Diane.
Fondly,
Kathy

Diane,

Again I'm sorry for the loss of Gerd.  I will miss his dry sense of humor and I'll miss working with him very much.  We had some good times planning the 2010 National Meet in Canandaigua.

As for the membership of GVACS, Gerd has left some very large shoes to fill.  He will be missed by all.

Our deepest sympathies.  They say we cross paths for a reason and although we only knew you both for a short time, we greatly enjoyed your friendship.  May time make it easier in not having such a great guy in your life.  Hugs.

Gerd was a great friend - we both enjoyed antique cars (Nash and Moon.) I also had the pleasure of working with him as one of his vendors in Rochester, NY. He was a sharp and above board businessman. Kind and generous and with a quick wit he was one of the real good guys.
Diane-my best to you always.
