Sandra "Sandi" Jean (Merkel) Hill

Hill, Sandra Jean, “Sandi,” 71, of Oldsmar, FL, passed away April 23, 2024. Born in Rochester, New York, Sandi was a long-time Tampa Bay resident. She retired as an accountant with 30 years of service to a Defense Plant, which operated as ATK, towards the end of her career. She helped her husband Craig with his business, “Craig’s Insulation”.  Sandi and Craig also owned a bar and restaurant at one time, “Top of the Bay”. She had many life endeavors and lived life fully.

Sandi was a help to everyone she met. She was loving and thoughtful. Sandi could be generous to a fault, often going above and beyond for others. She stood out for her care and compassion.

Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Fran Merkel; son, Steven Merkel; sister, Debbi Greenway. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Craig Hill; stepson, Craig Hill, and family; sisters, Pat Meech, Sue Merkel, Barb Lyon; and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, May 4th 2024, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, at Holloway Funeral Home, 112 Bayview Blvd., Oldsmar, FL 33647.
