Gordon Miller was a car guy. He knew scientists and captains of industry and moved amongst them with ease. He walked through the world with a happy glint in his eye. This was because he understood what the game was all about. He could see the basic essence of a thing and love it for its "neatness". And he could appreciate the beauty of a process, especially the action of a ball off a hitter's bat. That's because he had more faith than even he understood. Gordon Miller believed the homerun was always a swing away. And he had the talent to make us all believe in it too. And to me, that's the definition of a winner!

What a wonderful picture of Gordon. Such a handsome man with a great sense of humor. I'm thankful I had the pleasure of getting to know him and count myself as one of his friends. He sure was "no 1 Papa" and I'm sure he will be missed by the family.
